Who do you think of when you hear phrases like “fastest human” or “fastest Olympic swimmer”? And why was their name the first thing you thought of? Well-known people are often how we get to know them. Because they are known for something that has made them well-known, this thing could be good or bad, but what matters is that it made them more popular with people. Being popular on Earth is like being famous in heaven. Imagine that all the angels in heaven know your name, not just the ones who write down your good deeds. They already know who you are and what you do before you die. This is what we mean when we say someone is well-known in heaven.

An Example of How to Be Well-Known in Heaven “No one has the right to be worshiped but you (O Allah)], Glorified (and High) are you [above all the bad things they associate with you]. I have been one of the bad guys.”

It is said that the angels know Prophet Yuns’ voice so well that when they heard this prayer, they could tell it wasn’t coming from where they usually heard his voice.

This person spends his time praising and worshipping Allah (SWT).

Making Heaven a Better Place for Us

In the end, Allah (SWT) owns both the Earth and the heavens, and only He can give rewards and raise a person’s status. As people, though, it is our job to try to get to this high place where good things about us are known in the heavens. Here are a few tips to help you become so well-known.

Give people Da’wah

If he talks about me to himself, I talk about him to myself, and if he talks about me in a group, I talk about him in a group better than that. And if he moves toward me the length of a hand, I move toward him the length of a forearm. And if he walks up to me, I go to him quickly.'”

Imagine that you praise Allah (SWT) in front of your friends, family, coworkers, etc., and Allah (SWT) tells a better group of people in heaven about you. Imagine that every time you talk to a group about how beautiful Islam is, a bigger and better group is also talking about you, in sha’a Allah.

This is a reason for you to always be at gatherings where the name of Allah (SWT) is mentioned. These are called dhikr and obedience gatherings. The more of these you go to sincerely, the more popular you will be in heaven.

Lots of Dhikr

“Abdullah bin Busr (may Allah be pleased with him) told me that one of the companions said, “O Messenger of Allah. For me, Islam has a lot of rules to follow. So give me something I can hold on to.” He told him, “Keep your tongue moist by thinking about Allah.”

Say the Qur’an

Abu Hurairah said the Messenger of Allah said, “Recite the Qur’an at Fajr.” “Recitation of the Qur’an during Fajr is always heard.” He said, “The day and night angels have seen it.”

If we read the Qur’an daily at fajr, think about how many times angels would have stayed with us to hear you read it in a year.

People are less interested in this world. Because nothing lasts forever on Earth, any popularity you or anyone else has right now will not last forever. We will all be replaced by other people at some point.

The kind of fame that sticks around is the kind we have with Allah (SWT). It is the one where the angels are used to seeing us read the Qur’an or do good things, and they are used to hearing Allah (SWT) talk about us. Every Muslim should try to gain this popularity because it will help us in the afterlife.

How to Make Meditation a Habit in the Age of Social Media

People often say that it will start working again if you unplug something. Start learning the Quran through an online Quran tutor at the online Quran academy and be a good citizen and Muslim.

We can say that these things have some good things for us, but we can’t ignore the bad things they might do to us, especially regarding our faith.

But one thing we might not think about right away is how it affects our relationship with Allah

Muslims meditate

The story of how the Qur’an was first revealed isn’t complete until you know how Prophet Muhammad ( ) ended up in the cave of Hira, where Angel Jibril met him.

People knew that the Prophet ( ) sometimes went to the cave to think. He would bring his family enough food and then leave them in the cave for a specific time. He could “unplug” from the world and everything in it to concentrate on his soul.

Every Muslim should be able to do this at some point. We should be able to get away from everything once in a while to let our souls breathe and think about what our lives are all about.

So what do we do? How can we keep up with everything around us and keep our faith?

Don’t hang out everywhere.

This is not the part where I tell you to become a fun-hating hermit who spends 24 hours a day reading the Qur’an. But if you want to find time to connect with your heart, you must first figure out what keeps your heart busy.

If you’re on every online social media network, you’ll spend more time switching between apps than someone who is only on one or two networks. And the more networks you look at daily, the less time you have for worship (ibadah).

Make a daily plan

People would call the hours after fajr “the hours of the reciters” because it happened so often.

People started to notice those who got up every morning to read the Qur’an before or after the fajr.

If we want to make it a habit to unplug and think about our faith and our life’s purpose, we need to build habits that help us do this. You can’t say you want to sit alone and think every day before fajr if you have trouble getting up for fajr in the first place.

And we can’t expect to have times when we can think about ourselves if we haven’t made an effort to meditate.

When we look at the Prophet ( ), we can see that this is something he did often. He wasn’t in the cave that day because his favorite social media site was down. He had been on purpose, making it a habit to go away and think for a while.

If you want to start making it a habit to think about things, here are some ideas:

Choose a time of day when you won’t have other things to do. The best time to meditate is early morning, but even 10 minutes at night is good for your soul.

Choose a place to take out your money. It could be a small room in your house or the mosque down the street. Your brain will learn that this space is only for meditation if you have a place set aside for it.

Leave the device out of your space where you meditate. There’s no point in locking yourself away to think if you’re going to your phone every few minutes to see what’s new. If gadgets constantly distract you, you won’t be able to calm your mind. Leave your devices somewhere else before you go to your private place to think to make sure you unplug.

. If your time to think is all about sitting down and thinking about how kind Allah is, don’t use that time to watch motivational videos on YouTube.

Pray a lot or Dhikr.

If we want to make it a habit to turn off the noise of this world so we can focus on our souls, we should praise our Creator with our tongues.

Many of us drift away from our faith because we let other things take their place. We are so busy with our lives that we don’t have time to unplug and rest.

But as Muslims, we should never forget that our only goal in life is to worship Allah (SWT). And that time is a valuable gift that we shouldn’t waste. These two things should make us want to take a step back, disconnect from the busyness of life, and think about it in a way that helps us stay true to our purpose.
